Adani Group to Build AI-Driven Health Cities in Ahmedabad and Mumbai

By Global Consultants Review Team Saturday, 12 July 2025

The Adani Group has announced plans to build two large “AI-first” Health Cities in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. This is part of their big plan to change India’s healthcare system. They will spend an initial ₹6,000 crore on the project.

These Health Cities will bring together health education, research, medical care, and wellness all in one place. Each campus will have a 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospital and a medical college that can train 150 undergraduate students, over 80 residents, and more than 40 fellows each year. There will also be outpatient care, digital diagnostics, and special labs to drive new ideas.

A key part of these Health Cities is their use of AI and digital technology. They will focus on precision diagnostics and biomedical informatics to make healthcare more affordable and easier to access for everyone. Adani has tied up with Mayo Clinic, a top U.S.-based healthcare organization. Mayo Clinic’s global consulting team will help set high standards for patient care and clinical practices in these new centers.

This move is just the first step in Adani’s larger plan to build a network of world-class, yet affordable, healthcare hubs across India. By linking these Health Cities with their airport operations, Adani also hopes to boost medical tourism in the future.

With this project, Adani Group is aiming to bring quality, tech-driven, and inclusive healthcare to India, marking a major shift in the country’s medical landscape.
