Later this year, Apple Inc.'s top executive in charge of enterprise sales and the western European market plans to leave the firm, becoming the most recent long-tenured management to leave.
According to persons with knowledge of the situation, who wished to remain anonymous since the move has not been made public, Mark Rogers, Apple's vice president of western Europe and global enterprise sales, informed coworkers that he is departing this fall. Since 2013, Rogers, a 27-year veteran of Apple, has held the position of vice president.
While his European scope includes the UK, Germany, France, and other significant western nations, he currently manages sales to corporate entities worldwide. Mike Fenger, Rogers' vice president of all sales, is in charge of the corporation and answers to Tim Cook, the CEO. A representative at Apple chose not to comment.
Following the resignation of co-sales leader Doug Beck in 2023, Fenger assumed the senior position in the sales organization, which has seen changes in recent years. The business will divide Rogers' duties when he departs. The position in western Europe will be added by Juan Castellanos, the vice president in charge of the Middle East, Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe. All international enterprise sales will be handled by Vivek Thakkar, the vice president of US carrier and enterprise sales. Both of them will still be reporting to Fenger.
Following the retirement of Castellanos' predecessor, Hugues Asseman, Apple restructured its sales team in 2023. This group is in charge of selling the company's products to both individuals and companies. By creating India as a separate region within Apple's organizational structure and assigning Ashish Chowdhary, the country's leader, to answer directly to Fenger, the company increased sales in India two years ago.
Even though Rogers is departing later, Tuesday is a significant day on the Apple calendar because it's when staffers' limited stock normally vests. Because of this, it is uncommon for certain employees, particularly those with lengthy employment, to leave the organization.
Around the conclusion of the previous year, a number of leaders resigned, including Chief People Officer Carol Surface and longstanding hardware engineering executive Dan Riccio. The business appointed a new Siri chief in March, shaking up its AI staff. A vice president in charge of international retail outlets was also recently appointed.
