FTI Consulting Appoints Senior Aviation Consulting Leader

FTI Consulting has strengthened its aviation consulting capabilities with the appointment of Alexis Fekete as Senior Managing Director in its Corporate Finance segment. Fekete will co-lead the firm’s Aviation practice across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia alongside Jasper Schrijver.

Based in Dubai, Fekete joins FTI Consulting from Seabury Aviation Partners, where he served as Managing Director and Partner. He brings more than 20 years of experience across the aviation and aerospace sectors, with expertise spanning airline transformation, mergers and acquisitions, financial and operational restructuring, debt and equity raising, fleet acquisition, aircraft financing and airline and lessor due diligence.

In his new role, Fekete will advise airlines, aerospace companies, aircraft lessors, investors and governments across EMEA and Asia. His work will focus on capital raising, transactions and business transformation as aviation companies respond to changing financial, operational and strategic requirements.

“Alexis’ deep sector expertise strengthens our ability to help clients address these priorities and make critical decisions in an increasingly complex aviation market.” - Diederick van der Plas, EMEA Co-Chairman, FTI Consulting

Fekete’s previous experience includes senior positions at Seabury Capital, Seabury Consulting and Natixis, as well as roles at Accenture. His advisory experience includes airline transformation, restructuring, fleet-related assignments and transaction work. He has also supported projects involving Malaysia Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle and TAP Portugal.

FTI Consulting said the appointment will further expand its aviation capabilities outside the Americas. The firm’s aviation specialists work across business transformation, transactions, turnaround and restructuring, capital raising, performance improvement and strategic communications.

The appointment comes as airlines, lessors and aerospace companies continue to navigate capital requirements, fleet planning and opportunities for transactions and transformation. Fekete’s combination of aviation consulting, investment banking and restructuring experience is expected to support clients dealing with these complex business decisions.

FTI Consulting is a global consulting and advisory firm serving organisations facing crisis and transformation. The company reported more than 8,100 employees across 32 countries and territories as of June 30, 2026.
