HCLSoftware to Acquire Robotiq.ai for Enterprise Automation

HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, a Zagreb, Croatia-based provider of enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) technology. The all-cash transaction values Robotiq.ai at an enterprise value of €9 million, or about ₹98 crore, and is expected to close by the end of November 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

The transaction will be carried out through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech, which will acquire 100% of Robotiq.ai's outstanding equity. The acquisition is intended to strengthen HCLSoftware's enterprise automation capabilities by bringing Robotiq.ai's RPA technology into the company's HCL UnO Agentic platform.

Robotiq.ai provides enterprise RPA technology that automates repetitive and manual processes across business applications. Its platform is used by large organizations in sectors including banking, insurance and telecommunications. The technology is particularly relevant to enterprise environments where applications may not have sufficient application programming interfaces (APIs) to allow conventional software integrations.

The planned acquisition is designed to extend HCL UnO Agentic beyond AI-based orchestration and decision-making into the execution of tasks across enterprise applications. By combining HCLSoftware's orchestration capabilities with Robotiq.ai's RPA technology, AI-driven workflows can interact with applications even where APIs are unavailable or inadequate.

For Robotiq.ai, the transaction provides access to HCLSoftware's enterprise customer base and broader technology platform.

Founded in August 2018, Robotiq.ai is headquartered in Zagreb and focuses on enterprise automation. According to HCLTech's regulatory disclosure, the company reported €1.4 million in revenue for the financial year ended December 2025, compared with €900,000 in each of the previous two years. It reported a net profit of €200,000 and a net worth of €800,000 for 2025.

Robotiq.ai's platform also incorporates enterprise-focused features such as ISO-certified security, audit logs and flexible deployment options, which HCLSoftware said support secure and reliable automation in large organizations.

The acquisition reflects HCLSoftware's move to expand its enterprise automation portfolio by combining AI-agent orchestration with established RPA capabilities. If completed as expected in November, the transaction will bring Robotiq.ai's technology into HCLSoftware's broader software ecosystem and expand the capabilities available through HCL UnO Agentic.
