JSA Advocates and Solicitors advised Biomapas, a portfolio company of Carbyne Equity Partners, on its acquisition of Pinnaxis IT Solutions and Consulting Private Limited, strengthening the life sciences services provider’s technology and consulting capabilities. JSA published details of its advisory role on October 14, 2026, while Biomapas announced the acquisition on October 6.
The transaction involved the acquisition of 100% of Pinnaxis, an India-based pharmacovigilance technology and consulting company. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed in the companies’ announcements.
Pinnaxis specialises in drug-safety system implementation and upgrades, data migration, system integration, validation, reporting, analytics and managed services. Its clients operate in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, where reliable systems and accurate safety data are essential for monitoring medicines and meeting regulatory requirements.
The acquisition strengthens Biomapas’ ability to combine its existing regulatory, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance and clinical research services with specialised technology expertise.
Pinnaxis brings more than 100 technical experts and experience across leading drug-safety platforms, including Veeva Safety Vault, Oracle Argus and ArisGlobal. It also contributes proprietary tools designed to support safety data migration, reporting and case-intake automation.
The company will lead Biomapas’ Consulting and Digital business unit, bringing its technical capabilities into the wider organisation. The acquisition is also expected to support Biomapas’ expansion in North America, where Pinnaxis already has an established client base and an office in New Jersey.
“Pinnaxis brings deep expertise in the technology behind drug safety, strengthening our ability to connect specialist services with the systems that support them.” - Xavier Duburcq, CEO, Biomapas
Duburcq said the combined capabilities would help pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients manage increasingly complex requirements across the product lifecycle by bringing scientific expertise and technology closer together.
For Biomapas, the acquisition supports its ambition to develop an integrated, digitally enabled platform serving clients across regulatory affairs, drug safety and product development. The company is backed by Carbyne Equity Partners, which has supported its development as an integrated life sciences services provider since 2024.
Pinnaxis founder and CEO Nishant Rana described the acquisition as an opportunity to extend the company’s specialist expertise and reach more international clients.
“Joining Biomapas is a major strategic move for Pinnaxis, our team and our clients.” - Nishant Rana, Founder and CEO, Pinnaxis
Rana said joining a broader life sciences platform would allow Pinnaxis to reach clients across Europe and other markets while offering services beyond technology alone.
The transaction follows Biomapas’ acquisition of Delta PV in 2025, another step in expanding its pharmacovigilance services. With Pinnaxis, the group adds a dedicated technology and consulting capability to its portfolio.
For the consulting industry, the deal highlights how specialist advisory and technology firms can become strategic assets for larger service providers seeking broader offerings, international reach and deeper sector expertise. The integration of Pinnaxis into Biomapas will be an important step in bringing these complementary capabilities together for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
