KNAV Acquires Fastrics to Expand Technology Consulting

Global accounting and advisory firm KNAV has acquired Fastrics, a Florida-based technology consulting and digital transformation firm, to strengthen its governance, risk and compliance (GRC), connected reporting and technology-enabled advisory services.

The acquisition brings 28 US-based professionals into KNAV's operations, expanding its technology consulting and managed services capabilities. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Fastrics specialises in cybersecurity, data analytics, technology risk assessment, compliance automation and business process improvement.

The company also brings expertise in Workiva, a platform used by organisations for financial reporting, governance, risk management, compliance and internal controls.

KNAV Strengthens Risk Advisory and Reporting Services

The acquisition complements KNAV's existing Risk Advisory practice and its proprietary GRC Hub client solution, which supports organisations in managing governance, risk, compliance, internal controls and reporting requirements through an integrated framework.

By combining Fastrics' Workiva expertise with KNAV's accounting, advisory and risk management capabilities, the firm aims to support clients across technology implementation, financial reporting, compliance processes, internal controls and ongoing programme management.

The expanded capabilities are relevant to organisations facing increasingly complex regulatory requirements, cybersecurity concerns and financial reporting obligations. Integrating technology with advisory services can help businesses improve risk visibility, automate repetitive compliance activities and streamline reporting processes.

CEO Highlights Technology-Enabled Advisory Strategy

Nishta Sharma, CEO of KNAV described the acquisition as an important step in the firm's development as a technology-enabled professional services organisation.

“This acquisition is an important step in KNAV's evolution as a technology-enabled professional services firm.”

Sharma added that Fastrics brings complementary expertise that will help clients improve reporting, manage risks, streamline processes and make better use of technology.

The acquisition also aligns with KNAV's broader investments in automation and artificial intelligence, including KNAV TARA, its internal AI platform designed to support the firm's professional services.

Fastrics Brings Digital Transformation Expertise

Corey Sherman, Director of Fastrics, said the combination would bring together the two firms' complementary capabilities.

“By combining our digital transformation, data analytics, cybersecurity, and technology risk expertise with KNAV's advisory, risk, accounting, tax, and compliance capabilities, we can deliver greater value to clients as they respond to changing business and regulatory requirements.”

The integration is expected to broaden the range of services available to middle-market businesses and multinational organisations seeking coordinated support across accounting, technology, risk management and compliance.

Expanding Global Advisory Capabilities

KNAV operates across markets including the United States, India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Australia. Its international presence supports clients with cross-border accounting, tax, assurance and advisory requirements.

The acquisition strengthens the firm's ability to combine traditional professional services with technology implementation and managed support. For Fastrics, joining KNAV provides access to a wider professional services network and complementary advisory capabilities.

The transaction reflects a broader consulting industry focus on integrating technology, automation and specialist expertise into client services. As organisations seek more connected approaches to reporting, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, acquisitions such as this allow advisory firms to expand their service portfolios and respond to evolving business requirements.
