Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed his first-ever official visit to Croatia, marking a historic moment in India-Croatia relations. His visit included high-level meetings and set the stage for stronger strategic cooperation between the two countries.
During his trip, PM Modi met Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković at Banski Dvori. Both leaders emphasized the importance of promoting peace and democracy, and agreed to enhance ties in trade, technology, and culture.
PM Modi emphasized the importance of peaceful solutions to conflicts, stating that whether in Europe or Asia, diplomacy and dialogue, not war, are the most effective way forward. He also highlighted India’s support for respect, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Prime Minister strongly condemned terrorism and appreciated Croatia’s support after the recent attack in Pahalgam. Both nations agreed to work together in several key areas like pharmaceuticals, agriculture, clean energy, digital technology, semiconductors, shipbuilding, cybersecurity, and defence. They also plan to build stronger supply chains and explore long-term defence cooperation.
