US Vice President JD Vance outlined a vision for stronger ties between the two countries on Tuesday, calling on India to expand its market access and purchase more American energy and defense hardware.
In an address at an event here, Vance stated that the United States and India can accomplish much together in a variety of areas such as high technology, defense, trade and energy.
He stated that both India and the United States are working to reach a bilateral trade agreement based on shared priorities.
He stated that India's and the United States' strength will determine the future of the twenty-first century.
Vance emphasized the importance of fairness in trade relations, referring to President Donald Trump's trade and tariff policies.
"We want to create a bright new world," he said.
He also stated that President Trump wants to rebalance global trade so that the United States, along with allies like India, can build a better future.
In defense, our countries have a close relationship, and we can collaborate on many military platforms, he said.
Vance also secured Modi's leadership.
"I told Prime Minister Modi last night that he has got approval ratings that would make me jealous," he stated.
