Geeta Singh, Founder and Director of TYC Communication, represents an entrepreneurial journey shaped by persistence, adaptability, continuous learning, and the courage to pursue an independent professional path.

From starting with limited resources in 2012 to building an organisation with a growing professional team and a diverse portfolio of communication and event assignments, her story reflects how an enterprise can evolve through experience, relationships, and resilience.

Geeta began her entrepreneurial journey in 2012 by establishing TYC Communication, then known as The Yellow Coin Communication, as a proprietorship firm.

With an initial investment of approximately Rs. 50,000, the venture operated from a modest 8×10-foot office with Geeta, one colleague, and one client. Its initial focus was translation and content marketing. With limited resources, she managed multiple responsibilities herself while learning the practical realities of running a business.

In 2014, the organisation transitioned into a private limited company and expanded its work into communication, public relations, content, digital marketing, brand management, and events. This transformation reflected Geeta's ability to adapt the business to changing client expectations and opportunities.

Her educational and professional background provided an important foundation. Geeta graduated in Political Science (Honours) from the University of Delhi and later completed a diploma in Mass Communication. Professional training and exposure to established media organisations further developed her understanding of communication, content, media operations, and professional discipline.

For Geeta, entrepreneurship was also a personal decision. Growing up in a traditional environment in Uttarakhand, she encountered conventional expectations that could influence women's choices regarding education, careers, and independence. Pursuing entrepreneurship required confidence and determination to define her own professional path.

Rather than allowing social expectations to determine her future, Geeta pursued education, developed professional skills, gained industry experience, and eventually established an organisation of her own. Her experience demonstrates how ambition, supported by consistent effort, can become a source of resilience.

The growth of TYC Communication was not without challenges. Geeta encountered uncertainty, professional setbacks, difficult decisions, disappointments, and relationships that did not always develop as expected.

Instead of allowing these experiences to discourage her, she chose to view them as lessons. These experiences shaped her understanding of people, leadership, decision-making, and professional relationships.

A significant part of her evolution has been the transformation of TYC Communication from a founder-driven venture into a team-based organisation. In its early years, Geeta was personally involved in almost every aspect of operations. As the organisation grew, she had to learn to delegate, develop processes, build teams, and encourage employees to take ownership.

The organisation's present capabilities reflect this evolution. According to its official website, TYC Communication has completed more than 450 projects and worked across more than 180 cities. Its experience spans sectors including technology, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment, hospitality, government, automobiles, lifestyle, start-ups, and industry bodies. These figures reflect not merely growth in scale but the operational experience required to manage diverse clients, sectors, and geographies.

TYC Communication has also undertaken institutional, cultural, trade, sports, and public-facing assignments. Its portfolio includes work connected with the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, Khel Mahakumbh, the Golden Pagoda Marathon, trade and investment initiatives, cultural programmes, and other large-scale events.

Such assignments have strengthened Geeta's understanding that communication involves much more than creating content. It requires knowledge of audiences, institutions, cultural contexts, timelines, coordination, and stakeholder expectations.

The organisation's services have similarly expanded as the communication industry has evolved. Public relations, digital marketing, brand management, social media, content, and event management now form interconnected areas of its work. This broader capability has allowed the organisation to respond to different communication requirements while adapting to changes in how audiences consume information.

As TYC Communication expanded, Geeta's responsibilities changed from managing individual tasks to providing organisational direction. This transition from entrepreneur to leader required delegation, trust, collaboration, strategic thinking, and people management. It also meant creating systems that could function effectively beyond her direct involvement.

Geeta places particular importance on people and long-term professional relationships. The continuity of experienced team members has contributed to institutional knowledge and organisational stability. Her leadership approach combines decisiveness with empathy, reflecting her belief that organisations are built not only through processes and strategies but also through the people who contribute to them.

The company's growth has also broadened its professional reach, with work extending across India and an international presence. For Geeta, this represents the cumulative outcome of more than a decade of learning, adapting, and building relationships.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly women navigating traditionally conservative environments, Geeta's journey offers lessons in persistence, adaptability, and independent decision-making. Her story demonstrates that professional identity evolves through education, experience, experimentation, setbacks, and continuous learning.

More than a decade after its establishment, TYC Communication has developed considerably from its beginnings in translation and content marketing. Its project experience, geographic reach, sector diversity, and expanded communication capabilities reflect the gradual development of an enterprise built around people, relationships, and adaptability.

Ultimately, Geeta Singh's story is not defined by a single milestone. It is a story of starting small, navigating uncertainty, learning from setbacks, developing people, and building an organisation capable of growing beyond the founder's individual efforts.

Her journey demonstrates that entrepreneurship is not simply about creating a business; it is an ongoing process of learning, adapting, building trust, and moving forward despite adversity.
