They would train their proteges in special places of learning i.e. Ashrams or Gurukuls where the pedagogy was a blend of in-person in-struction, practice skill application, deep introspection, group discussions to exchange ideas, mentoring, and most importantly, a constant endeavor to improve on current knowledge and skills through scientific inquiry. Fast Forward to 2019. A flat world has brought us closer both real-time and virtually, flooded us with ex-citing tech-driven learning tools and platforms, and en-abled 24/7 access to knowledge at our fingertips. But the underlying essence of learning is the same. Human connect, the power of mentoring, of rich in-teraction with fellow learners to create new synergies in peer learning, of being coached by someone who has been there and done that and applying those skills and knowledge in an environment that empathetically cor-rects and teaches does not change. Tools and technology are definitely an excellent en-abler to the learning eco-system but they can never re-ally replace human connect. So how do we balance the timeless essence of human learning with rapidly evolv-ing learning technology to get the best of both? One approach is to run the L.E.A.R.N.filter method.
