DXC Technology has appointed Arun Melkote as Global Head of Delivery for Consulting & Engineering Services (CES), strengthening its global consulting leadership as the company focuses on AI transformation, application modernization and enterprise technology services.
The appointment gives Melkote responsibility for DXC’s global CES delivery organization. He will report to Ramnath Venkataraman, President of Consulting & Engineering Services at DXC Technology, and will oversee delivery across the company’s consulting and engineering portfolio.
Based in Bengaluru, Melkote will also serve as DXC’s most senior executive in India, representing the company with customers, partners and industry stakeholders while supporting its growth and innovation strategy.
Melkote’s new role comes as enterprises increasingly move from experimenting with artificial intelligence to implementing AI across their operations. His responsibilities will include strengthening DXC’s delivery capabilities across AI-native software engineering, application modernization and Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
He will also work with DXC’s partner, innovation and AI teams to develop capabilities that can help customers move large-scale transformation programs from planning to implementation.
The appointment reflects the changing role of technology consulting, where clients are increasingly seeking partners that can combine consulting expertise with engineering capabilities and global delivery.
Venkataraman highlighted the importance of this shift in DXC’s strategy:

Melkote brings nearly three decades of technology and business leadership experience to DXC. Before joining the company, he served as CEO of Quinnox and previously held senior leadership positions at Wipro.
During his career, he has worked across global delivery, digital transformation and technology services, giving him experience relevant to DXC’s growing focus on AI-led transformation.
His background is particularly aligned with the company's effort to connect global technology capabilities with customer requirements across different markets.
Speaking about his new position, Melkote emphasized the need to bring multiple capabilities together as businesses accelerate their transformation programs:

Melkote also said he looks forward to working across DXC’s global CES organization and building on the company’s engineering and innovation capabilities in Bengaluru and across India.
Melkote’s appointment was announced alongside another leadership change within DXC’s Consulting & Engineering Services organization.
Kartik Iyer, formerly CVC Director of Operations and Global CES Resource Management, will lead DXC’s Customer Value Centers, Workforce Transformation and Strategic Programs for CES.
The leadership changes come as DXC seeks to strengthen its consulting and engineering organization while responding to growing demand for AI-enabled services.
For enterprises, the focus is increasingly shifting from developing AI strategies to putting those strategies into practice. This is creating greater demand for consulting partners that can provide strategy, engineering, implementation and ongoing delivery through a single ecosystem.
