Interpath Eyes U.S. Acquisition to Expand Advisory

Interpath is seeking to acquire a mid-sized U.S. professional-services firm as the financial advisory group looks to establish a stronger presence in the world’s largest advisory market. The firm is working with investment bankers to identify a target with around 50 employees that can serve as a platform for its broader U.S. expansion.

The move is part of Interpath’s strategy to build a larger international advisory business following its acquisition by private-equity investor Bridgepoint earlier this year. Bridgepoint completed its investment in Interpath in 2026, with U.S. expansion identified as an important part of the firm’s next phase of growth.

Interpath is not looking for an acquisition simply to establish offices in major U.S. cities. The firm wants a business that fits its existing capabilities and can immediately strengthen its service offering. The target is expected to have expertise in at least two of four areas restructuring, deal advisory, forensic investigation and value creation.

“One of the great conundrums is you don't want to go to the US with something that doesn't fit the rest of our business just so we've got a flag in New York and Chicago,” said Mark Raddan, CEO, Interpath.

The U.S. push follows several years of international expansion by Interpath. Since separating from KPMG in 2021, the firm has expanded across Europe through strategic hiring and acquisitions, including its acquisition of procurement and supply-chain consultancy Kerkhoff in 2025. It has also established operations in Germany, Ireland and several offshore markets.

“Interpath’s success is built on the strength of its people, a team that combines deep expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset and a clear ambition to scale the platform,” said Charles Welham, Partner and Sector Head for Business & Financial Services, Bridgepoint.

Bridgepoint has said it intends to support Interpath’s international expansion and selective use of strategic acquisitions to strengthen the platform.

Interpath currently employs more than 1,000 professionals globally and provides services spanning deal advisory, restructuring, value creation and forensic capabilities. Its planned U.S. acquisition would give the firm a local platform from which to pursue larger cross-border mandates and compete more directly with established global advisory competitors.

The proposed acquisition therefore represents more than a geographic expansion. It reflects Interpath’s broader ambition to develop a global financial advisory platform, with the U.S. becoming a central component of its growth strategy under Bridgepoint’s ownership.
